When the sun’s out, the garden is the best seat in the house. There are plenty of picnic benches, shady spots under the parasols, a lawn where the kids can stretch their legs and countryside views out the back, often with horses grazing in the field. Spring brings the flower beds to life, and on a long summer evening it’s hard to leave.
Walkers coming off the coast path and families on their way back from the beach both end up here, usually with a dog in tow. That’s exactly as it should be.
